In my last article I noted that MD.emu is picky about how Sega CD games are ripped so I can't trust that ones from another source were done in a compatible way. From poking around random Android emulation forums I've confirmed that my CD compatibility is consistent with what others have experienced.
It is based on Genesis Plus which advertizes 100% compatibility so I don't know if the CD compatibility is different on other source ports. The Sega equivalent, MD.emu, has been a bit more spotty. Every game in my TG16/PC Engine CD colllection works and losing the early 90s CD drive load times has been very welcome. Its CD compatibility so far has been perfect.
The first emulator I tried on the Ouya was PCE.emu.
